This mascara is 98.91% natural, due to the inclusion of 2 preservatives as follows:
0.55% Sodium Hydroxide, also known as caustic soda, is used to control the pH of the mascara to prevent it from being too acidic and thus irritating. 
0.45% Potassium Sorbate, a highly effective preservative against yeasts and moulds. This antimicrobial is also used in the food industry under code E202 and is recognised as safe. 
 
These preservatives can be used in lower quantities and are thinner than organic preservatives, and so allow us to create a mascara that is as effective as any 100% synthetic mascara without any limitations. 
 
Ingredients highlight:
Bamboo Hydrosol: Derived from the distillation of bamboo leaves, this active ingredient is recognised for its richness in silica that remineralises, strengthening and repairing thin and weakened eyelashes. 
Carnauba Wax: Secreted by the leaves of a palm tree native to Brazil, this wax is a film-forming agent that protects your lashes by producing a continuous film that improves the staying power of your makeup.
